You can become a Carmel Cares Partner by making a donation.

Your donation WILL make a difference…

Carmel Cares is a 501(c)3 Nonprofit Organization and our EIN is 85-3432174. We are an extremely efficient and transparent organization with a Platinum rating by the Guidestar/Candid rating service. All our administration and project management is performed by volunteers. While we have some pretty capable volunteers, we hire local professional gardeners and contractors on tasks that are too strenuous or require specific skills and purchase tools and materials for our volunteers.  You can see the some of our accomplishments in the last year in this City staff report and this video.

We know you love this town and thanks to generous people like you, our work to keep Carmel beautiful, safe, and inviting will continue. The most financially efficient way to make a donation is to mail us a check, but you can also make a donation online using PayPal, a Credit Card, Venmo (@CarmelCares) or Zelle (CarmelCare1@gmail).

Carmel Cares does not sell or distribute any private information provided by donors.

Other Ways To Donate

  • Donate through your Donor Advised Fund – Carmel Cares has registered with most financial institutions so you can donate directly from your donor advised fund. Look for Carmel Cares on the drop-down menu or talk to your financial institution representative. If they don’t find Carmel Cares as a choice, send us an email and we’ll make sure it gets added.
  • Donate Stock, Real Estate or other Assets – You can contact the Community Foundation for Monterey County and they will arrange to handle transferring assets like these into the Carmel Cares Stewardship Fund which is controlled by the Carmel Cares board of directors. If you have any questions about giving, please contact us by email or call us at (831) 238-9822.
  • Pay your Gardener
You can pay your gardeners to join one of our landscape teams for a morning or a day. Just send us an email  and we’ll meet with you and your gardener to find a good fit.
  • In-Kind Donation – If you are a professional landscape company or a contractor, you can donate all or part of your contractor fees to help us with a project and receive a tax deduction for the portions that are donated.
  • Start a GoFundMe Page – If there is a project that you’ve always wanted to do in the Village, you can work with us to start a GoFundMe page to raise funds for it. You can do a matching fund promotion and we might join in! We’ll manage the whole process. Send us an email with your vision and we’ll  set it up.
  • Planned Giving – The Carmel Cares Stewardship Fund with the Community Foundation of Monterey County (CFOMC) makes it possible for you to make a lasting gift to keep Carmel beautiful, safe, and inviting through your will or estate. By doing so, you will provide critical, long-term support to our efforts for years to come. Ways of giving include contributing a fixed amount of money, stocks, bonds, a designated property, a percentage of an estate, or a residuary bequest. Your attorney or financial planner can work with the CFOMC to help you determine the best choice for you. Planned gifts may be applied to our General Fund or to a specific program or initiative. If you have any questions about giving, please contact us by email or call us at (831) 238-9822.
