The best kept park secret in Carmel.

Forest Hill Park is what Carmel is all about.

Many locals say “Where’s Forest Hill  Park”?
 We plan to change that.

We have to admit that most of us at Carmel Cares knew very little about Forest Hills Park. It was a bit of a mystery. But, when our City Forester Sara Davis took us on a tour we were hooked! It is what Carmel is all about.

It’s a bit on the wild side. Great hiking paths, children’s playground, two restrooms, tennis/pickleball courts, horseshoe area, beautiful forest and lots of hills.

But it also has lots of potential for improvement and that’s what got us excited. Conversations with Bob and Sara showed us that some fencing is required and some erosion control plantings are necessary. Some fields could be leveled to provide a soccer practice area and other general improvements.

We are excited that this is now a Carmel Cares Project and we plan on getting to work to make it a “go to” park in Carmel. If you are interested in helping us click on the link above or below.
